Tribute to Sasha

I wanted you to meet Sasha...or Sausage, Cream Cheese, Sash, Sauce, Little Hound...we have a ton of nicknames for her. Sasha came to live with via our old neighbor, Bill. She was about 10 weeks old when we started babysitting her. Bill was a contractor who sometimes worked nights and if he didn't take Sasha with him, she howled super loud and it echoed through our place!! Not nice when you have to get up at 5 am to get ready for work and it's 10-11 at night! We offered because Puppa liked to play with her. Well, she got so used to us and she got just as spoiled as Pup so, naturally, we broke Bill's dog...he was a great sport and his wife didn't care for Sasha, so Bill asked if we would mind just keeping her...and I didn't mind at all! The times we've had with this little dog!! When she cut her leg out back and had to have stitches was the first time I started learning what a great group of people there were on the recipe exchange here on AR..oh the memories...when I put my glasses on one Sunday morning and went to push them back on my nose and wound up poking myself in the eye because Sasha had got them and got the lens out and hid it! I thought I was going to have to shell out some bucks on that ordeal, but we found the lens in the middle of her blanket and until I could get new glasses, I made do with little poke holes in the lens.

She's so certain that she is going to miss something important, I call her Nosy Rosy...
Inquisitive little thing!

Bill told us she was lab/sheltie, but I'm not so sure...I think she's part fox with those ears...I wish they'd pick up HBO!

This is Sasha and her "baby" she got for Christmas...she played with that thing and slept with it until big brother ate it!

She super spry. She can jump on anything...agile!

Here she is sporting her new pink collar and purple name tag...she's all girl!

And this is her modeling her pink shirt...She looks like she's up to something, FOR REAL!!

She can sure kick big brother's butt in a race! She loves to go run out in the woods and...

play with brother in the creek.

She's my little travel buddy. Everytime I would have to take Bob back to Eastern Washington, we'd put Pup with a sitter and take Sasha along...this is her on the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle! We love our little Sausage Dog!!
